The Associate Patient Care Coordinator (Internal Medicine) functions as an integral member of the team to deliver exceptional customer service to our patients. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator works alongside the clinical staff to ensure efficient patient service within the department.

Schedule: 3 10-hour shifts per week: Monday, Tuesday, & Friday (6:30am-5:30pm)

Location: 912 32nd St. Anacortes, WA. Potential travel for coverage in La Conner, as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for our patients. Sets the tone for a positive experience
  • Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency and care
  • Schedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelines
  • Uses Multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over phone
  • Verifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
  • Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral information
  • Outbound calls for health maintenance

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of medical office or patient service experience
  • 1+ years of experience with basic computer software including Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPIC experience
  • UCB/ACD Desktop phone system experience
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology

    The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
